Next week’s box recipe is below. You will have noticed that we had to make some substitutions last week – it’s always a possibility and often beyond our control so please always take these predicted recipes as a guideline only.

A

Potatoes 1.2 – bakers
Onions 500g
Carrots 600g
Purple Sprouting Broccoli
Leeks 600g
Celeriac 800g approx – 1 medium sized
Tomatoes 500g

B’s will get Celery on Tuesday and Wednesday or A couple of small cucumbers on Thursday and Friday

D’s will get a further 500g Potatoes and a bag of Red Kale

E’s will get the Celery or Cucumber, the Red Kale and a Kohl Rabi

L’s and M’s will get a Squash as well as the above additions.

K
Apples 700g
Bananas 600g
Pears 500g
A portion of Chestnuts (approx 200g)
Clementines 600g
Grapefruit

Q’s will also get 500g Kiwis.


At the risk of confusing you, we thought it might be helpful also to give you a list of the basics going into the boxes during Christmas Week, so that you can plan your shopping. Quantities may vary a little (as indeed may the actual contents - we will do our best to give you what we say we will but sometimes things just don’t turn up!)

A’s and G’s
Potatoes 1400g – Maris Piper, a great roaster
Onions 500g
Carrots 600g
Parsnips 600g
A portion of Red Cabbage
Leeks 700g
Sprouts (probably on a stalk or possibly loose depending on quality (approx 400g))

Additional extras (probably) as follows
B’s Tomatoes 5600g
D’s Potatoes 700g and a Lettuce
E’s Tomatoes, Cucumber and a Red Pepper
L’s and M’s – as above but also Tomatoes and Green Pepper

Don’t forget that during Christmas week all deliveries will be coming a day earlier than normal so if you’d like to add anything onto your order or need to alter it in any way please give us as much notice as you can.
