It’s great to be sending UK Rhubarb out in the fruit boxes too – let’s enjoy it while it’s here… and yes we do know that rhubarb isn’t a fruit – it’s a vegetable, but then tomatoes and peppers are fruit and they go in the veg boxes! Let the debate commence! *hides behind the counter*

Beanies Events Reminders

It’s not too late to sign up for our 30th Anniversary Bike Ride taking place on Sunday, 15th May. Between thirty and forty people will be setting off from The Ponderosa – let’s hope a similar number return!! Of course they will. Heather and Jake did a practice run the other day and thoroughly enjoyed it. Heather was remarking on how well it had been planned to avoid major upward slopes – of course there are some – it’s Sheffield but she felt they were all pretty manageable.

Also our 30th Birthday Picnic is planned for the Bank Holiday Monday 30th May so do make yourself some sandwiches and come along and join us. Ask in the shop for more details but rest assured this won’t be the last mention of it in the Veg Box News or on Facebook and Twitter.
