Alexandra, a customer, was in the shop the other day buying our Raw Cacao Powder and some ripe bananas. When she told me what she was making I asked her for the recipe. This is what she wrote.
I was told to write to you guys and tell you the recipe for what I use your cacao powder for...vegan chocolate banana ice cream!!
Chop up bananas, put them in a container and freeze them for a minimum of 8 hours. Take them out and put them in a food processor, and blend. Once slightly blended, add the cacao powder (two heap tablespoons or more if you want it even more chocolatey)....then blend until smooth!
You can also add coconut sugar and date syrup for extra sweetness.
You can make loads of other flavours...strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, mixed fruits, mango, spinach, dates. To make these, replace the cacao powder with the desired fruit. Only the banana needs to be frozen
